Mentor instructor for institute

Alan Weintraut, the media adviser at Annandale High School in Annandale, Va., is joining us for the third year as mentor instructor at the ASNE Reynolds High School Journalism Institute. He will take part in the instruction and will be available throughout to counsel participants and to help apply lessons to the classroom. 

Alan is was the 2006 Dow Jones Teacher of the Year, an honor that has him speaking at journalism events around the country. 

In 2008, he won the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Pioneer Award.
