A journalist's focus

According to Mr. Kaiser journalist today should focus on:
  • Immediacy
  • Multimedia & video
  • Interactivity
  • Expertise
Mr. Kaiser's presentation was a reminder as to how journalism is changing daily and what skills journalists have been learning to adapt to these changes. While these are important skills to have, it is important to remember that a good journalist should always be able to write clearly and get to the essence of the story quickly. Being a smart journalist will allow you to capture the reader from the very beginning of the story and keep him engaged until the last line. A good writer gives his audience something new and elicits a response from the reader. Immediacy, multimedia, interactivity and expertise will make a writer even smarter
