Restore dead Mac/external hard drives!

This is just a short mention of a product that will save your life if you have lost data on a hard drive. I first learned of this from the folks at the Association of Independent Radio Producers' list serv. We had three Lacie drives that would not work and Disk Warrior brought them back from the dead. This was hugely important as much of our television archive was on these babies. Please know that I have no relationship with this company besides gratitude.

  1. I got into the whole computer thing late. I think I was in my thirties when I bought my first PC. Over the years I became more comfortable with computers and learned to embrace them. Now I am responsible for just over twenty computers. Up until going to work at the school my primary experience was with PC's. I now have over 29 Macs that I am responsible for. A few months ago I was editing a project for the district and was running out of hard drive space. Being very tired after a series of long days I accidentally erases the capture scratch. Turns out this was a very serious mistake. I lost a lot of my interviews or at least very important sections of my interviews. Now we are getting our own server which will back up files over multiple drives.
