Movie Magic

Thursday night's showing of All the President's Men was the first time I have seen this movie. The movie was provoking to say the least! I feel I was in the right place at the right time at just the right moment to catch the essence of journalism! It was inspiring!

Not only is the historical significance undeniable as demonstrated by the background information, but the demonstrated persistence of Bernstein and Woodward doggedly searching door to door for information is a great role model for my students. Also, the way Bernstein handled the interviews and Woodward's deep background (new term for me) made a great impression. I had no idea this movie had so much in it! If I had, I would have watched it a long time ago.

Wonderful! So many lessons!

  1. Denice,
I absolutely agree that the movie was insightful to the world of journalism, reporting, and essentially life. Sometimes, we have to be persistent and driven to fulfill our goals.
